Alexander is a specialist in commercial law and new technologies. He advises national and international companies, clients and suppliers on all kinds of regulatory aspects, contracts and commercial transactions, with a specific focus on information technology and those sectors in which technology and complex regulatory frameworks play a key role.

His experience also includes representation in pre-contentious and judicial proceedings, having participated in the negotiation and defense of some of the most important disputes in Spain in its field, with successful and innovative results.

Prior to founding ThinkSmartLaw, Alexander was the partner of Bird & Bird’s commercial and new technologies practice, firm that he helped found in Spain. He has also practiced at Linklaters and developed part of his career in Brussels alongside the advisor to the Belgian Prime Minister and later judge at the Court of Justice of the European Union.

He holds a degree in Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid, Higher Studies in EU Law in Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, and holds the titles of Specialist in EU Law of the Complutense University and Specialist in Commercial Law of the Autonomous University of Madrid.

He has given conferences on technology, intellectual property, data protection and international law in Spanish universities, business schools and the Chamber of Commerce; he has developed, directs and teaches the legal module related to data analysis of the school of Business and Tech of the European University and IBM.

He is a regular contributor to national and specialized media in the areas of his specialty and has been recognized in the BestLawyers® ranking of Spain since 2013 as well as in Legal500 and Who is Who Legal.
